Bank President Receives Honorable Recognition

Bank President Hampton Thames has been honored by Mississippi Power and The Meridian Star as one of the Top 10 Over Fifty. The announcement was made during a luncheon held on July 14 at the Meridian Museum of Art.

Over his career, Hampton has passionately served such organizations as the Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi, the Meridian Youth Soccer Organization, the Community Foundation of East Mississippi, the Meridian Rotary Club, Lamar School, and more.

Active in the Alumni Association of the University of Mississippi, he graduated from the University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and completed studies at the LSU Graduate School of Banking in 2000.

Archie McDonnell, CEO of Citizens National Bank, recently commented, “I have worked with Hampton for the past thirty four years and have witnessed his passion for our community bank and the role it plays in making our community a better place to live, work and play. At the same time, he has displayed a passion for his clients and the overall success of Meridian. He was chosen to serve as President of Citizens National Bank because he understands the Bank’s and the community’s vision and mission.

Hampton and his wife, Michele, have been married 28 years and have two sons, Davis and Will.

Congratulations, Hampton, on this well-deserved honor!
