Neil Henry Receives Mississippi Business Journal Recognition

We are pleased to congratulate Neil Henry, CNB’s Meridian Regional President, who has been recognized as one of the Top Leaders in Finance for 2022 by The Mississippi Business Journal. This program recognizes professional men and women who excel in the finance industry and who make a significant contribution to their local communities through their volunteer efforts. With over 25 years in banking, Neil is a servant leader who leads by example and motivates his team to be successful. He is also very committed to the clients he serves and demonstrates a strong passion to help others succeed financially. Neil currently serves as President of the Lauderdale County Tourism Commission and as Vice President of Administration for the Choctaw Area Council of the Boy Scouts. An avid supporter of scouting, he also serves as Treasurer for the local Troop 2 of the Boy Scouts. Having been involved with the State Games of Mississippi for many years, Neil serves as a board member and basketball commissioner for the State Games. He also continues to be actively involved in the TOPSoccer program, which he founded in 2013 as well as Camp Hoops, which he founded in 2016. Both programs benefit athletes with special needs. Over the years, he has been actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi, Meridian Main Street, and the City of Meridian’s Parks and Recreation Division and he currently serves as a member of the Mississippi Early Childhood Development Council. In 2019, Neil was inducted into the Meridian Community College Hall of Fame. In 2018, he was crowned as king of the Meridian Junior Auxiliary’s Charity Ball in recognition for his community involvement and the readers of The Meridian Star also voted him as their Man of the Year the same year. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with local community leaders to provide financial literacy training sessions to students as well as adults in the community so that these local citizens can become first time homebuyers, start their own business, and build their credit. Neil is a 1997 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and a 2007 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He and his wife Amanda, have been married for 24 years and are proud parents of a son, Parker, and a daughter, Anna Kate. The family attends First Baptist Church in Meridian where Neil was ordained as a Deacon in 2008 and where he continues to serve as a Sunday School teacher in the Church’s Youth Department. Congratulations, Neil, for being recognized with this distinguished honor. It is truly well deserved.
