Grant Phillips Promoted and Honored with Council Appointment


DeSoto County –Addison Lawrence, Regional President of Citizens National Bank’s DeSoto Region, is pleased to announce that Grant Phillips has been promoted to Senior Relationship Banker and will serve on the 2025-2026 Mississippi Young Bankers (MYB) Member Council.

With more than twelve years of experience in the banking industry, Grant brings a well-rounded background that includes commercial, agricultural, real estate, and consumer lending, along with proven leadership in management roles. He joined Citizens National Bank in 2019 and has demonstrated a deep commitment to his customers, colleagues, and community.

“Grant is a natural leader and someone who brings professionalism and compassion to everything he does,” said Addison Lawrence, Regional President of Citizens National Bank’s DeSoto Region. “Whether he’s guiding a customer through a financial decision or serving his community with integrity, Grant reflects the heart of our mission at Citizens National Bank. We’re also proud to see his leadership recognized by Mississippi Young Bankers.”

A DeSoto County native and graduate of Northpoint Christian School, Grant holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from Mississippi College. He has also completed the Mississippi School of Banking and the Southeastern School of Consumer Credit, continuing to build his expertise in financial services.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Grant is actively involved in the community. He serves as a Deacon and Treasurer at Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Olive Branch, is on the Board of Directors for the Southaven Chamber of Commerce, where he contributes to the Budget and Finance Committee and the West End Redevelopment Committee, and also sits on the Board of Directors for House of Grace, a ministry supporting women and children in crisis. He continues to pour into Northpoint Christian School through volunteer coaching, financial literacy workshops, career fairs, and alumni engagement.

The Mississippi Young Bankers (MYB) section of the Mississippi Bankers Association focuses on financial education for young bankers and Mississippians. Since its establishment in 1950, MYB has provided rising banking professionals opportunities for continuing education, leadership development, and statewide networking through events such as the annual Leadership Conference, Leadership Golf Tournament, and spring convention.
