Bailey Hartel Promoted


Hattiesburg, MSHampton Thames, President and CEO of Citizens National Bank, South Regional President, is pleased to announce the promotion of Bailey Hartel to Senior Vice President and Relationship Banker at the Bank’s West Hattiesburg Banking Centre. Since joining CNB, Bailey has made a lasting impression through his leadership, dedication to clients, and commitment to building strong relationships within the Hattiesburg community.

Bailey originally joined Citizens National Bank as a Vice President and Relationship Banker, bringing 12 years of experience as a Bank Examiner for the Mississippi Department of Banking and Consumer Finance. In that role, he served as lead examiner for multiple publicly traded banks, gaining valuable expertise in evaluating credit, balance sheet structure, and overall financial condition. He also developed specialized knowledge in trust compliance, investment strategies, and wealth management practices.

Throughout his banking career, Bailey has pursued continued professional development—earning multiple certifications through the American Bankers Association Trust School and graduating from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU in 2015. His educational background includes both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he also played for the Golden Eagles Baseball team in 2006 and 2007.

Bailey is also actively involved in his church, serving as a Deacon and Director of the Branded Bible Fellowship Class at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
